Photonics Group

The Photonics Group was established in January 2007. The group is led by prof. Seppo Honkanen and it has currently 13 researchers, including one Senior Scientist (doc. Ari Tervonen), 2 post-docs, 7 PhD students and 1 M.Sc. student.

Education is funded by Aalto University and research is mainly funded by external sources, especially the National Technology Agency (Tekes). The research is done in collaboration with foreign universities, Technical Research Center of Finland (VTT) and industry. Our main research topics are
